ALTERNATE ROUTES ALONG THE SPACE TIME CONTINUUM

Inspired by TGB's PARALLEL UNIVERSES and urged by a blogger friend, I too shall journey inside the world of alternate realities...

But before I begin, I realize that there are two dramatic shifts along my life's timeline.
So I shall split my entry into two parallel worlds: Universe That's Stuck On Maple Syrup and Universe That's Slobberin Over Fishballs.

UNIVERSE THAT'S STUCK ON MAPLE SYRUP

(The first detour in the space time continuum)

The date is May 1982. A sudden shift in the continuum determines that I be stuck in the Queen's colony till 2004. So today, in an alternate world after 22 years, I may be...

● In solitude inside a Canadian observatory gazing at the stars, searching for new galaxies (fulfilling my childhood dream of becoming an astronomer)
● Joining some Asian gang and robbing some 7-11 store (coz I dropped out of school failing all math-related subjects - the fundamental prerequisite to fulfilling my childhood dream of becoming an astronomer)
● Speaking French eloquently thanks to the lasting impression and inspiration of my sexy Quebecois grade school teacher, Miss Ambroise
● The first Filipino to make it big in the National Hockey League
● Married to this pretty Canadian woman and I now have a Fil-Can son that I'm proud of and I'm currently training to become a good basketball player (coz I want me, err...him to earn megabucks in the PBA)

UNIVERSE THAT'S SLOBBERIN OVER FISHBALLS

(The second shift in the space time continuum)

The date is May 1982. A sudden shift in my father's brain determines that we stay here never to return to Canada. So today, in an alternate world after 22 years, I may be...

● In the PBA if I didn't chicken out at the high school basketball varsity tryouts
● In far better relationships if I only chose this girl from that girl or that girl from this girl
● Married
● A copywriter in some advertising agency
● Treating patients as a physical therapist (physical therapy was my first college course before shifting to communicatin arts)
● Back in Canada after replying to their country's need for experienced Filipino physical therapists to work and migrate there

Fuck, this parallel shit is making me crazy.
